Our Story

It wasn’t the time or way we would have envisioned, but as we look back on our relationship, we see all the ways God has moved the pieces of our lives into place to meet and fall in love with one another. We matched on Hinge and our first date was a week later at a samurai exhibit at a museum, the same place we got engaged at. The growth we’ve seen individually and together has been a testament to God’s faithfulness and kindness. We laugh together, we support one another, we watch each other’s nerdy interests together. We can’t wait to continue sharing life together, and with all of our treasured guests.

The Bride

I was born and raised in Nashville, NC, with my Mom, Dad, two big sisters, and loving church family at Englewood Baptist. It is thanks to this family that I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. After high school I attended NC State where I fell in love with Raleigh and stayed after graduation. I have been living in Raleigh for 7 years now attending church and working at IBM and I’ve met several lifelong friends here. After years of attending Providence Church, we feel the Lord has called us both to join Tabernacle Baptist, along with several others, in an effort to revitalize one of the oldest churches in Raleigh.

For fun, I just love to make pretty things. Whether it’s a website like this or cookies for a party, I’m gonna make things as beautiful as I can! When I’m not making things, you can probably find me watching a k-drama, taking a nap, thrifting, or spending time with loved ones.

The Groom

I was blessed to have two great parents that taught me their faith and helped me make it my own. When I was four, my little sister was born, and we’ve had so much fun together over the years. I followed in my dad’s footsteps and went to Virginia Tech for civil engineering, which is my career now. I’ve lived in Danville, VA my whole life and am looking forward to joining Courtney in Raleigh as we go to Tabernacle Baptist and continue growing together.

I’m a big fan of Star Wars, Virginia Tech, and Lord of the Rings, along with being a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers. My favorite food is macaroni and cheese, and I love a good book! I’m also known to build a bunch of Legos, something I’ve convinced Courtney to join in on!
